PRIVACY POLICY
This Privacy Policy explains what information Brosvision s.r.o. ("Brosvision", "we", "us") collects when you play Hockey Player VR (the "Program"), how we use it, who processes it on our behalf, and how you can request its deletion. It applies to all versions of the Program, including the versions distributed through the Meta Horizon Store (Meta Quest and Rift) and Steam. Brosvision s.r.o. is the controller of the personal data described here.
Your Game Account
Brosvision does not ask you to create a separate account and does not ask for your name, e-mail address, phone number, location or any other contact information inside the Program. When you start the Program, it signs you in automatically with the account of the store you play on (Meta or Steam). From that sign-in we create a game account for you with our online service provider, Unity Gaming Services. Your game account is identified by a game player ID and is linked to your store account; all online features of the Program (statistics, leaderboards, experience levels, credits and cosmetic items) are stored under it.
Information We Collect
When you play the Program, we receive and process the following information:
- Platform user ID and username: your Meta (or Steam) user ID and the public username / display name associated with it, provided to us by the platform SDK. Your username is used as your in-game player name.
- Game account data: your game player ID, the store your account comes from, and the time your account was created and last signed in.
- Entitlement status: confirmation from the platform that you own a valid copy of the Program.
- Match and gameplay data: for online matches, a match report with the match identifier, start and end time, the game player IDs of the players in the match, the score and each player's statistics (such as goals, assists, shots, passes, wins and losses). From these we compute your all-time and weekly statistics, your leaderboard positions, your experience points (XP) and level. We also keep a count of match reports that were disputed or rejected, to protect the statistics and leaderboards from cheating.
- Credits, items and purchases: your balance of HPVR credits (the in-game currency), the cosmetic items you own and have equipped, and a history of the latest changes to your balance and items (for example credits earned by levelling up, items bought with credits, or credits bought with real money). For purchases made with real money we receive from the store a record of the purchase (purchase ID, product, time and status) and keep it to deliver the purchased credits or items exactly once and to handle refunds. Payments themselves are processed by the store (Meta or Valve); Brosvision does not receive your payment details, such as card numbers or billing address.
- Voice chat: if you use voice chat in online matches, your voice is captured by your headset's microphone and transmitted in real time to the other players in the match. Brosvision does not record or store voice chat. You can mute your microphone at any time in the Program (and you can deny the Program microphone access in your device settings).
- Technical data: basic device and connection information (such as platform, app version and IP address) that is necessary to connect you to online multiplayer sessions, to check that your version of the Program can play online, and to diagnose errors.
How We Use Information
We use this information only to:
- sign you in, and verify that you own a legitimate copy of the Program;
- connect you with other players in online multiplayer matches, display your username to them and let you talk to them by voice chat;
- evaluate matches, and show your statistics, experience level and leaderboards;
- keep your credits and cosmetic items, deliver what you earn or buy, and handle refunds and support requests;
- protect the statistics, leaderboards and purchases against cheating and abuse;
- keep the Program running, fix bugs and improve gameplay.
We do not sell your information, we do not use it for advertising or profiling, and we do not use it for any purpose other than those described above.
Legal Bases
We process your information because it is necessary to provide the Program and its online features you use (performance of a contract, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), and on the basis of our legitimate interests in keeping matches, leaderboards and purchases fair and secure and in fixing errors (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Records of real-money purchases may also be kept where we are legally required to do so (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
Sharing of Information
Your username, your in-game statistics, your experience level and the cosmetic items you wear are visible to other players: in the matches you play, and on the public leaderboards of the Program. Apart from that, we do not share your information with third parties, except:
- with service providers that operate the online features of the Program on our behalf, only to the extent needed to provide them: Unity Technologies (Unity Gaming Services: sign-in, game accounts, data storage, match evaluation, leaderboards and configuration) and Exit Games (Photon: online multiplayer sessions and voice chat);
- with the store you play on (Meta or Valve), to verify your account, your ownership of the Program and your purchases;
- where we are required to do so by law.
These service providers may process data on servers outside your country, including outside the European Economic Area; in that case the transfer is covered by the safeguards required by the GDPR, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
Meta and Valve collect information under their own privacy policies, which govern their handling of your data, including your payment information. Brosvision does not have access to personal information that these platforms collect for their own purposes.
Data Stored on Your Device
The Program stores on your device your settings (such as the primary stick hand and microphone mute), your training progress, the cosmetic items you have equipped and, briefly, the report of your last online match until it has been delivered to our service. Uninstalling the Program removes this data.
Data Retention
Online session data and voice chat are kept only for the duration of the multiplayer session. Your game account, statistics, leaderboard entries, experience level, credits, items and purchase records are kept as long as the online features of the Program are operated, or until you ask us to delete them, except where we must keep purchase records longer by law. Weekly leaderboards are reset every week, and only the latest entries of your credit history are kept.
How to Request Deletion of Your Data
You can request access to, or deletion of, any data we hold about you at any time by sending an e-mail to info@brosvision.com with the subject "Hockey Player VR - Data Deletion Request" and your Meta (or Steam) username. We will delete your game account and all data associated with it within 30 days and confirm the deletion by e-mail.
Please note: deleting your game account permanently deletes your statistics, experience level, HPVR credits (including credits bought with real money) and cosmetic items. They cannot be restored afterwards, and unused credits are not refunded by deleting the account. Uninstalling the Program removes the data stored locally on your device, but not your game account.
